Using Rufus vs Win Tool Kit

In trying to create a bootable USB drive, I was leaning towards using Win Tool Kit mainly because of a YT video tutorial by Britec. Come to find out it is payware,I believe, where Rufus is free. What I want to do is add drivers and Windows Updates to the folder that contain my Win7 ISO, via slipstreaming. Will the ISO have the necessary files/folders that will allow a boot to a new unused HD, or will I have to add those? Can I accomplish the same end result using Rufus that Win Tool Kit would accomplish? I saw a tutorial somewhere on these forums about Rufus but my search to find it has not been successful.

    Thanks

    :)

  2. I can not find any debugging tool?

I have installed visual studio 2015 which comes with windows sdk for windows 10, and according to this page: Debugging Tools for Windows (WinDbg, KD, CDB, NTSD)

windows debugging tool comes with sdk.

    Also according to this page:

Tools Included in Debugging Tools for Windows

debugging tools located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Debuggers\, however, when I go to that directory, I can not find any debugging tools.

    Who knows what happened?

  3. Windows 10 media creation tool can't find USB

    Yes. I did.

The Media Creation tool didn't detect the USB drive. But Rufus did. (both running on the same machine). I downloaded ISO, used Rufus to create bootable USB. Moved the flash drive to a different machine and completed a clean Win 10 Pro install

p.s. This SAME USB drive was used before and detected before by an earlier version of the Media Creation Tool on the same machine where it now wasn't being detected by the Tool (yet Rufus was detecting it). Which is why I also suspect it's a bug
    in the Tool

    /* EDIT */

I also verified the USB boot drive was detected and bootable from the same machine it was created by Rufus (but not detected by Media Creation Tool)

So, again, I believe this is a tool bug. HOWEVER, i also believe problems with SanDisk (or any other flash drive that's listed as "WinToGo" compatible) is a
different issue. WinToGo compatible flash drives appear to Windows as Hard Drives so they won't be recognized by Creation Tool as removable USB

    Hi there
as TthrashZone mentions Rufus will work fine

    BUT : Ist

    1) extract the original ISO via some sort of program for reading ISO's
    2) copy appropriate files to relevant area in the extracted directory
    3) re-create the ISO via whatever program you have --things like imageburn I think are free and can create ISO's -- remember you want a DATA ISO not a DVD type one.
    4) with the new ISO create a bootable rufus usb drive

    Should work fine
If you remember an old program back in XP days called nLite --it used to do the same for slipstreaming drivers / service packs (remember those !!) and removing features before install.

    Cheers
