Windows 10: Using sleep instead shutdown tell me the difference

    Using sleep instead shutdown tell me the difference


    I use sleep most of the times to make my life easier but I dont know if im doing it right. Is there any changes if I do shutdown instead?

    Laptop does not shutdown when i click shutdown and close the lid, it sleeps instead.

    Whenever i click shutdown on my laptop, i directly close the lid. However, the laptop sleeps instead of shutdown. The bulb icon on my laptop which indicates the laptop is sleeping tells me that the laptop did not shutdown properly. I have to open the lid
    again for it to shutdown properly. Please tell me that there's a fix to this. Thank you.

    Sleep instead of Shutdown

    I have a desktop computer running Windows 10. It has been working with no problems.

    Recently it stopped shutting down. When shutdown is selected, it appears to shutdown, the monitor reports the video signal is lost and the lights go off on the PC.

    However it you touch the keyboard it start back up again and goes straight into the desktop.

    I have checked the configuration and the sleep is disabled and the power button appears to be configured correctly.

    It doesn't appear to relate to any processing still running.

    Suggestions appreciated.

    PC won't shutdown, sleeps instead

    I am using Windows 10 in an ASUS whenever I shutdown my PC, it goes to sleep mode instead.
