  1. Using the filesystem as basis for mindmap

I'm the sort of guy that gets distracted between my many projects and ideas easily. And then I lose track of them.

And this main issue can't be solved by making a word document listing my ideas because they're more like a mindmap than a list.

However, a mindmap fails to solve my problem because all the mindmap software out there are either all text based or has limited capabilities to attach files (or is too much of a hassle to attach files).

But I found that the Windows 10 file system is a PERFECT MIND MAPPING TOOL.

Except. That there's one problem I'm facing.

When my paths get too long example:

    C:\XXXXXXXXX\XXXXXXXXXXX\XXXXXXXXXX\XXXXXXXXXXXXXX\XXXXXXXXXXXX,

I am unable to continue creating new folders within folders and i get the File length is too long, even though I'm just creating subfolders (but i guess they treat a folder like it's a file).

But anyways, I've tried bypassing this with GpEdit.msc, and Enabling Longpathname. I restarted my pc afterwords.

BUT it still didn't work!!! CMON! I never thought in 2020, there's still such a BS limitation. Windows explorer could be used as the perfect mindmapping tool!!!!

    How do I fix/bypass this?

    Thanks

Recommended and supported microSD card filesystems for WP8

    @Michal TR

Did you bother to read my post fully, or the topic title for that matter?

You gave no indication of the filesystem specifications, which asked for. Of course I know I can use a 64GB card, because I'M USING ONE!!!

In future, I suggest before you post, please carefully read what the OP's request is.

  3. Cheap build for browsing/word processing

Can you list what she currently uses.

    First step
a thorough clean, reboot and virus scan

    next
reuse parts from that pc and use them as the basis for a new build.

e.g. why buy a new case?

The ASUS board in my main rig was released 7.5 years ago and it is still more than capable.

Using the filesystem as basis for mindmap

    User Profile Service failed

To resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Copy the Default folder (in C:\Users) from another windows 10 computer.
    • Rename the Default folder to something like DefaultOLD (just to keep it for safety reasons).
    • Paste it in your Users folder.
    • To make sure that you won't have problems with permissions of the "implant" folder, just transfer it via a FAT/FAT32 formatted USB stick (those filesystems don't have permissions).

This will provide solution to the error User Profile Service failed.

Let us know if you need more assistance.
