  1. Using WoWLan to turn computer on from phone

I have looked around a lot and to my understanding I can use WoWLan to turn on my computer. I have not found any tutorials for it though. My computer is not connected with an ethernet cable but WoWLan should be able to turn it on right? How can I do this? Windows 10.

    :)

  2. Unable to enable WoWLAN

Hi, I'll be as descriptive as I can here.

I am trying to enable WoWLAN on my wireless card (Intel AX201).

I don't have a Power Management tab in Device Manager for this device so I can't enable it that way.

My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 7 and the BIOS does not have a Power Management tab either, or any other 'wake on' option.

I've tried logging in as Administrator and enabling the WoWLAN through command line and I get the following message:
    powercfg /deviceenablewake "Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz"
You do not have permission to enable or disable device wake.

However, the device is listed when I execute the powercfg -devicequery wake_from_any command so I think it has the required capability.

I've also tried adding the registry entry to enable the Power Management tab, but this also led to nothing.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

  3. (SOLVED/CLOSED)looking for help with Android phone CONSTANT wireless signal notification

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Different laptops can have different reasons why a keypress doesn't wake them from sleep.
    • 'Wake up from keyboard' setting was set to Disabled in BIOS
    • Power & Sleep settings | Edit Plan Settings | Change advanced power settings | Sleep | Allow Wake Timers was set to Disabled in Windows Settings
    • https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...505bcfb?auth=1
    • The keyboard device has an 'Allow this device to wake the computer from sleep' checkbox
    • ...

Disabling Fast Startup may be required if the goal is to use WoWLAN to power up the laptop, but if the goal is only to use WoWLAN to wake up from S3 Standby, then disabling Fast Startup is not required.
