Windows 10: Utility to Help Fix spanned Volume

I recently had a power supply go out on a nas server and needed to move 8 disk to another computer server 2012 to win 10

the disk where set up as one big spanned volume. After hooking it all up I went into disk manager and they showed as foreign

went to import and the status showed as missing disk ? not exact message . which i believe was from a disk that was split partitioned 2012 on the boot and the rest of the disk as part of the spanned . That being said after some research i determined that that was a generic message and it should import 99.9% of the time. So anyway, that failed. So I am left with a corrupted set of disks where the LDM is corrupted. The data on the disk should all be there I just need to reconstruct the spanned volume somehow. There is an option to boot the server 2012 system if that would help but looking at the PRIVHEAD data on some of the disks it has already been rewritten with the PC I'm moving them to .


So What i am looking for is a utility that is supposed to be able to fix that that does not seem to be particularly available called Dmpss.exe the other one was hard to find called dmdiag.exe was on an XP resource disk. I could just hex edit the disks but i have no idea what the field layout is for spanned volumes and the information isn't out there because MS is still so tight lipped with NTFS layout dynamic disk fields too.


these disk have about 15 terabytes of backup iso's So I really want to reconstruct them as opposed to just getting a data retrieval app and copying them off. I have space limitations also which would make that a real pain .


So all that said ...DOES ANYONE happen to have this rare as heck utility sitting somewhere that it can be downloaded in a 32 bit version so it will run on win 10 why they dropped the ntldr out of the blue I will never understand after how many years ?

I believe both drives need to be setup as dynamic to allow for a spanned volume to be configured across both of them. Here's some links on some info for spanned volumes and the other types that Disk Management in Windows can do for you.

Combine HDD into one? {alternative to spanned volume}

Can someone answer if one can combine two totally different hard drives into one by using spanned volume feature? Like combining a Seagate 320 GB 7200 RPM HDD with Toshiba 500 GB 5400 RPM HDD?
