Hi, I've had some issues regarding Riot game's Vanguard "Vgk. sys" DLL file in which the BSOD presents itself with the Stop code "DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION" and ONLY that stop code. I've tried things such as giving Valorant Administrator perms or adding some files into exception for the firewall while trying to solve a different problem but can't seem to understand what keeps causing the blue screens for this. For context I was playing the game with No issue present about two months ago when I took a break and when I came back to update the game I started getting all of these issues I

Valorant causes vgk.sys DLL causing BSOD

Hi, I've had some issues regarding Riot game's Vanguard "Vgk. sys" DLL file in which the BSOD presents itself with the Stop code "Kmode _Exception_Not_Handled" I've tried things such as giving Valorant Administrator perms or adding some files into exception for the firewall while trying to solve a different problem but can't seem to understand what keeps causing the blue screens for this. For context I was playing the game with No issue present about three months ago when I took a break and when I came back to update the game I started getting all of these issues I haven't even been able to open the game just once as even the Riot client gives me a black screen sometimes and gives me a "Path file not Found or Critical error" and stops the game from starting. I have nothing but lots of Dumpstack files by now I will leave the link to the one from my most recent blue screen here: 062524-11265-01.zip

Riot already posted a semi/temp solution to this: https://support-leagueoflegends.rio...Troubleshooting-13900k-14900k-processors-only

It was a temporary fix for me as it only lasted a few hours but it definitely reduced the BSOD.

To avoid this (if you are not playing any Riot games):

    1. exit the vgtray (Vanguard)

    2. go into services and stop the service vgc

This should prevent from BSOD. To play Riot games simply revert 1 and 2.

Hoping Riot to release the fix asap.

Hello. Did you figure out how to fix your issue? I don't play valorant but since Vanguard is required for league now it opens on start up and causes my computer to BSOD. This is ridiculous that this issue has persisted for multiple years at this point, who should I blame here? Is it user error, Microsoft, or Riot?
