Windows 10: Various drivers suddenly stopped working & consistently fails to install new ones

This is a long one and requires a little set up to get into, so I'm sorry in advance, lol.A day or so ago, I ran into a weird issue where my PC suddenly stopped recognizing anything plugged into any 3.5 mm port. I've tried multiple different devices and it does not recognize anything plugged into it save for a PS4 controller via USB? It will play no audio through it and has always done this. It's acting as if nothing has been plugged into it, like ever.I've gone into device manager to try to update my drivers, but the option to see the driver is just gone the mic is unrelated to this issue

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

Try doing a clean install of the drivers.

Noob question here - I am new to nvidia cards and never have experienced these problems. The graphics driver (the new one that came out w/crysis 3) apparently installs correctly according to the message at the end of the install but nothing else does (I.e. Physx). I have tried looking up the issue but can't seem to find good step by step resolutions. Any ideas? Thanks!
