    Various Programs Dont Run on Windows 10 Pro


    My HP EliteBook came pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro. Whilst most programs run properly, there are some where the latest versions for Windows 10 get installed, but refuse to run. No error screen pops up, nothing happens when you start these programs, examples below:


    Kindle Previewer

    Kindle Create

    Plagiarism Checker

    Calibre

    Calibre Portable

    VLC Media Player


    I have tried all that I know, including running compatible tests, it is of no use.


    To add to this, the installation software for SanDisk SanDiskSecureAccessV3.1_Win.exe also wont install.


    Please help

    program that ran on Windows 8.1 pro will not run on Windows 10

    I am running Wilcom Embroidery Studio e2 on my desktop running Windows 8.1 pro.

    When I installed Windows 10 Pro the above mentioned program refuses to run.

    Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but the program listed above is very expensive to replace with a newer version of that program.

    Is there an emulation mode that will allow older programs that will run on Windows 8.1 pro to run also on Windows 10 pro?

    Try the following steps:

    I would suggest you to run Internet Connectivity troubleshooter:





    Try the following steps:


    • Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.

    • Click “View All”

    • Select "Internet Explorer connection"

    • Click next to run the troubleshooter.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
