Windows 10: VBA cannot merge the work of multiple users -- how to allow this?

I am a single user, but work on my Excel workbooks on both a Mac and a Windows 10 computer. I use the Winodws 10 one to perform updates on Excel workbooks created on the Mac, using VBA. I transfer to files through One Drive, which I have on both machines, and then run the VBA on the Windows machine. I do so because VBA is so inadequate in the Mac version of Excel. The worksheets taht I need to [process are .XLSM files.I have Office 365 personal, always updated to the latest release.Although I am one person, Windows sees the workbook coming from the Mac as a file of a differen

Company merging on the horizon

The Inq. talks about some major company merging that could take place this summer. What is likely to happen is summarized in the following list:

• eBay is in talks with Microsoft and Yahoo regarding cooperation and perhaps even a combination
• Oracle, SAP and perhaps Novell might be "up to something"
• Telecoms will surely continue to be a big source of deal-making and not just through attempts to build scale and geographic coverage. Deals such as Sky-Easynet and eBay-Skype suggest that combinations of services could be the way forward.
• Sun might be bought by Fujitsu Siemens, HP or Dell

Help with Excel VBA Problem?

Can someone help me code the following VBA problem:

"Assume you have a mailing list file. This file is currently the active workbook, and the active worksheet of this book has full name in coloumn starting in cell A1, with the last name last and everything in uppercase letters (such as STEPHEN E. LEE). Write a sub that counts the number of names in the list with last name LEE and then displays the count in a MsgBox. Not that there might be last names such as KLEE, which should not be counted."

VBA missing

VBA is part of MS Office and continues to be supported within currently-supported MS Office versions.

If another application requires VBA then it ought to provide it. I can only suggest that you ask Corel how you were supposed to get VBA - perhaps it was an installation option that you did not notice.

Note that VBA is not the same thing as Visual basic. VBA is an Office component, Visual basic is a programming application.
