Windows 10: Verbal Reminder

Discus and support Verbal Reminder in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; Is there any way to set Cortana to give a verbal reminder?     Verbal Reminder


    Is there any way to set Cortana to give a verbal reminder? As of now when you ask Cortana to set up a reminder a visual reminder comes from the right side of the screen. That's cool but if you are not sitting at the computer, you will miss the reminder until you press a key or move the mouse to stop the Screen Saver. I was just wondering.

    why isn't Cortana talking and displaying bing web results instead?

    Re all of these threads and.... like most people, I am frustrated at not receiving a verbal answer to a verbal question. To reply to a later response (from Microsoft I think) regarding settings and questions asked, here is a specific .... as requested!

    When I ask the question... 'What is the weather in Rugby for the weekend?' - I get a good verbal response.

    When I ask the question... 'Who are Leicester Tigers playing this weekend?' - I am given text links to Bing.

    Not very impressive!

    Also - when I ask for a reminder to do something, I don't get a verbal reminder and previous responses include excuses that people may not want verbal responses to be broadcast in public. That's fair enough but why can't we have a verbal response saying
    'You have a reminder from Cortana' and a button to click to hear verbally what the reminder is (when we have made our way to a private place?

    Who are the PA's that Microsoft consulted with during development??

    Cortana reminders are saved but do not activate

    I am signed into my Microsoft account on a Windows 10 PC and have been trying to use Cortana to set reminders. The issue is that while Cortana creates the reminder and saves it--I can go to it from the notebook button--the reminder never goes off. This
    is true if I create the reminder verbally or if I enter it manually. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this?
