Windows 10: Verification code sent to wrong/old email when changing password while signed in with the...

Logged in to change password. After logging in, the password change verification dialog box uses a former old email address to send code to. I no longer have access to that email address. A Long ago, a Microsoft support representative helped by changing the account's email address from that old one to the current one I use. Can't find an account support link to chat/call.

How do I change my signing in from using a verification code to a regular password?

Microsoft Verification Code and Secutity Emails delayed by hours!

Yesterday I attempted to sign in to my One Drive account but used the wrong password, I subsequently used the "Forgot Password" option and was asked to enter a verification code that was supposed to have been sent to my email address. I checked for emails
but nothing was received also checked my email servers spam screen but again no sign of the email with the verification code. I made several more attempts to reset the password all unsuccessful as they all required email confirmation codes, none of which arrived!
Fortunately I did manage to remember my original password and have used it to sign in, otherwise I would not have been able to post this complaint!!!!!!

The verification code Emails from Microsoft did arrive but the first at least 4 hours later and others not till today! I tried again this morning and am still waiting for an email.

Why are your emails being delayed, test emails sent to the same email address arrive almost instantly.
