    Hi Stephanie,

    Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

    • Open Settings.
    • Tap on System.
    • Tap on Messaging.
    • Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
    • Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

    Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

    We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

    Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.

    Verifying Phone Number

    You can check your phone associated with your Hotmail in your Microsoft account settings.

    Here's how to do it:

    Go to the Microsoft account page

    https://account.microsoft.com/

    and sign in with your credentials.

    Once you're signed in, click on "Your info" at the top of the page.

    Under "Your info," you'll see your account details, including your email address and phone number.

    Check if the phone number listed is correct. If it's incorrect, you can update it by clicking on Edit account info it will transfer you to the "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft" page and follow the steps to add or change your phone number. (it is normal to ask you to enter your password again).
