Windows 10: [Version 10.0.17134.523] Internet connectivity Lost

My Windows 10 PC was working just fine, until a day or two ago, when suddenly the NIC facing the Internet disappeared. I powered off, checked the hardware, and restarted, and it reappeared. So at the time, I put it down to some loose motherboard connection. Today however, the same thing happened again (midway whilst playing an online game! Rather annoying thing to happen).


I switched the cables from the Internal NIC to the External and vice versa, and reassigned each. Restarted, but shortly afterwards similar thing happened once again loosing internet access, this time the formerly External NIC was still there, and working fine.. So it is not, a hardware issue related to the PC.


To temporarily circumvent the problem, I plugged in a USB Wireless adapter.


First thing I noticed was that an "ipconfig" now shows 3 LAN adapters in a "Media disconnected" state... these are ghost adapters that I do not have. Also, the "Default Gateway" shown on my External NIC was blank. I ran a "route delete *" to clear down all routing info, and restarted. All connection details properly populated now, but still have the hidden 3 NICs being shown.


I have no idea when it's going to disconnect again. But this does look like a software issue, an there was an update dated the 11th which incidentally messed up my Screen display resolutions, among other things, so I'm wondering if the very same update has done something to the NIC configurations.


Has anyone else, experienced the same recently ?

Lost internet connection after upgrading to Windows 10.

after downloading windows 10, i had no internet wifi connections. tried almost everything from community.

I downloaded talent driver network software to an

external drive using another computer and then ran the set up on non internet computer. Wifi networks reappeared and I was able to get on the internet and download some apps but connects lost by the next day when turned on computer, Again unable to get
on internet and network adapters not listed. Talent driver software no longer effective.

tried INFO GROUND(/) STEP 1. NO CHANGED...no connections listed.

Completely lost internet connection


So I randomly lost all internet connection on my desktop PC through Ethernet and WiFi. All other devices work on the network except for the PC. I have tried all steps I’ve found through google to fix it but it hasn’t worked. I honestly have no clue what to do.

Intel i5 6500
Gtx 1060
Msi b150m gaming pro mobo

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

• Are you getting any error message?
• Do you see any x mark on the internet icon in the taskbar?

I suggest you to uninstall the network drivers as below steps.

• Press Windows+X and select “Device manager”.
• Then expand the Network adapters.
• Right click on the driver and uninstall it.

And then go to the manufacturers website download the network drivers, install it and check if the issue persists.
