    Version 21H1 update issue


    Tried installing Windows 10 version 21H1 on ACER laptop multiple times. installation goes well until 95% complete. So the laptop hangs, there is no error message, it just hangs. You have to do a hard shutdown press and hold the power button for several seconds. The laptop restarts fine after that, but no error messages from the update attempt can be found. As mentioned, this has happened multiple times. Any suggestions to overcome this problem?

    Issue(s) with 21H1 Update

    The Windows update list of installed updates has always been a confusing & incomplete list. I don't think you had a problem at all.

    Tried all the steps listed and result afterwards is the same. Still fails and uninstalls the update. Any other suggestions?

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
