Windows 10: Vertical Pink Line On TV Screen When Projecting From Laptop With HDMI

Hi. Wondering if somebody could help. Just bought a Lenovo laptop from eBay haha, yeah… and the laptop display seems fine. But when I project to my TV, there is a thin pink vertical line about a fifth of the way in from the right. It doesn’t appear in the laptop screen just the TV. Tried four different HDMI cables. Tried updating intel drivers. Nothing. Has anybody come across this issue or may have a solution? I’ve another laptop I project from to the same TV but don’t have this issue, so definitely not the TV. Also, and I don’t know if this matters, but in the automatic updates there was a

win 10 update leaves vertical pink line on screen

today i applied latest win 10 update and now i have a vertical pink line on screen, it remains on every screen. i have tried these fixes

Step 1: I suggest you to run SFC scan,
System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update the display drivers and check.

Steps to Update the Display Adapter driver.

• Press Windows key + Xkey when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right on the Display Adapter and click on
  Update driver software

BUT i still have the line on screen.

• How are you trying to project the Laptop screen?
  
• Are you receiving any error message?
  
• Were you able to project the laptop screen to TV earlier?
  
• What is the make and model of your laptop?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article
Fix connections to wireless displays or docks and check if that helps.
