Windows 10: Very bright HDR in windows media player

I turned on the HDR option in Windows 11 and calibrated with the tool offered by Windows. Everything looks great, but when I watch a video, Windows Media Player plays it at 200% of the video's original brightness. The same video I tried when opening it in VLC Media Player looks good. It does not happen with a single video, this happens with all videos that are recorded under HDR

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)

  Windows Media Player Settings
