Windows 10: Very high CPU memory usage causing constant overheating and shutdowns

Hi,My computer has been overheating and shutting down from massive memory usage on my cpu at idle. I’ve tried everything from reinstalling windows 11 to replacing the cooler to a 240mm water cooled set up but it didn’t work. I even bought a new cpu to see if I fried the old one, but it didn’t work. Can anyone think of anything else?

is the only cause of high CPU usage. Because the common cause of high CPU usage are the following:

- Windows 10 Memory leak after the update.

High CPU usage -- even 100% CPU usage -- shouldn't in itself cause a shutdown. However, if the computer is running at 100% CPU usage for any significant length of time, particularly if the vents are blocked, either physically or by dust accumulation, the
CPU is likely to overheat, which will cause a shutdown.

1. Open Task Manager, select the Processes tab, and click the button to "Show processes from all users."
2. Click "CPU" in the header row once or twice to sort the entries in the order of decreasing CPU usage.
3. Create the situation where you have 100% CPU usage
4. List the "Image Name" of the top 5 items in the list together with the indicated CPU usage for each.
5. As soon as you have noted the values in Step 4, right-click on the top item and select "End Process."; repeat until CPU usage drops to a more reasonable value.

ntoskrnl.exe causing high cpu usage

It is completely random when it causes high CPU usage. It dosen't (as far as I can see) take up much memory, it just causes high CPU usage.

It spikes to about 20 - 90 % and stays like that for a second or so and causes my computer to freeze during that time. It can happen often, like every 5-10 minutes and sometimes it can go about 30 minutes. I do not recieve any error when this is happening.
