  1. Very odd trouble while reinstalling Windows 10 on Asus ROG

    Hi

    Hope you're all safe.

Today, my laptop decided not to turn on. It went straight to BIOS setup. I saved and exited but it went back to it again.. and again.. and again. I guess my installation got corrupted. So, I decided to reinstall Windows. Made a bootable USB using Rufus. Plugged in and went ahead till selecting the partition. Now, I own a 256 gigs SSD and 1 TB hard drive. After, selecting the SSD, it goes ahead till installing features and then gave an error saying something like

Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Verify that the installation sources are accessible, and restart the installation." The error code is: "0xE0000 100

and I tried again and it came back with this error

"Windows could not set the offline locale information. Error code: 0x80FE0000"

So, for the past 6 hrs, I've been trying to format my SSD with various tools and it won't format. Tried installing Windows on my secondary drive, it returns with an installation loop back to reinstalling the whole setup, restarting and coming back with a fresh installation screen. Tried removing the usb, disabling the SSD from boot option and so on..

Can anyone help me with this issue?

  3. Asus ROG. Opinions?

    Hello,

I am planning on getting a gaming laptop and my #1 choice is the Asus ROG that is on sale on the online Microsoft store. I have heard split reviews about the Asus, some saying that it simply doesn't turn on to some saying it is fantastic. It obviously
has a lot of capabilities and looking at its specs, it has a very powerful system however is it reliable enough for me to purchase or will it just be a waste of time. If it isn't reliable, then what would be a good backup computer to purchase.
