Windows 10: Very short "black" blinks in Windows 10 on the desktop

Windows 10, 1909 version. Intel 7700k, Nvidia GTX 1080, 16GB RAM.

Latest Nvidia display driver.

BenQ 35" monitor, running at 100Hz refresh rate.

My problem: On the desktop of Windows 10 I experience random "blinks" (the screen turns black for like a 10th of a second). It happens quite randomly. At least I've never really been able to connect it to something in particular. It never does it in a game or during anything else full-screen, only the actual desktop. It was the same situation on my old monitor, so it's definitely not a problem with the monitor.

Sometimes there are hours between it happening, sometimes it happens like 2-3 times in a few minutes. It's not like it's THAT big of a deal, but recently I've thought there might be a solution. Perhaps someone would happen to have had the same problem and found a way to fix it?

Desktop blinking and then switching to a black screen

Original Title: When I tried installing Windows 10...

I tried installing Windows 10 into my hp laptop. It installed fine... But seems to be messing with the laptop. Every time I try to head to my desktop, it ends up blinking once, going to the desktop, seeming ok for a second or two, blinking again, and then
switching to a black screen. Not a shut-down screen type, but a screen where it's black, the mouse-pointer is there, but my desktop isn't, and I can't do anything. It's just black. Right now I realized it was a terrible mistake. AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET
WINDOWS 10 OFF. Do you have any idea how I can uninstall Windows 10 from an HP Laptop? Please help.. It's a school laptop, and it's really important.

Let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message when the screen flashes?

This issue might have occurred due to outdated/ corrupted display drivers, try the below and check if it helps.

I suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the below article by Andre Da Costa and check if you are able to access after log-in.
