    Question and Solution ProblemOpening the designated Windows "Downloads" folder becomes very slow to open. Even after clearing out the folder, it quickly becomes super slow again even with only a few files and sub-folders. SolutionI found a solution that worked for me. There are some old threads about this topic so i'm posting this update in 2024 for Windows 10. TL;DR1. run Windows Explorer Win+E2. View tab -> Options -> Change folder and search options 3. In Folder Options window -> General tab -> Clear File Explorer history -> Clear buttonStep-by-Step Solution:1. Run Windows
