Windows 10: very slow wired speeds on pc, wifi is 300+mbps and wired is 84mbps

I am using a hardwire connection and my speed wired is 84mbps 48ms ping. Wi-Fi is 220mbps, Xbox Series X is 989mbps wired 68ms ping, why is my pc so slow? I have Xfinity service 1Gbps, tech was just hear and signal strength is great. If i hard wire to a Xfinity Pod i get 200Mbps, if I go Wi-Fi, i get 300mbps, by hardwire is 8-10Mbps. If i ping the router I get 0 packet loss and 2ms ping, if I ping the DNS, I get the 2ms and 0 packet loss. I have checked drivers; I have checked everything I can think of. Please help, as I am out of options and suggestions.

Network Wired and wifi speed

I have Time Warner Internet service at 300/25. I have an HP Spectre laptop connected via a Targus USB 3.0 SV2K 1 Gig Ethernet docking unit. On wired connection I can only get to 95 MBps..On wifi mid 40's. On another desktop unit I am getting consistent
service in the 295 range. The speed and duplex is set to auto detection currently...tried to change it to 1 gig at full duplex but it just kicks me off wired and onto wifi. Is there a setting that I am missing that would get help get throughput at close
to the 300/25 rate? Seems like somehow the spped is being limited. I tried contacting Targus but honestly they don't have a clue! Thanks for any help.

 

Is BT / Openreach slowing down copper wire ADSL speed?

January 2019 - ADSL broadband speed: -




Actual speed was regularly 16 + Mbps.

December 2019 - ADSL broadband speed: -




Actual speed is regularly 12.5Mbps.

One day it was 16+ Mbps then the first day of new contract it was down to 12.5 Mbps so it has got to be deliberate. The line is capable of 16+ Mbps but suddenly it is capped at 12.5 Mbps.

I believe that this is a deliberate tactic by BT / Openreach to get people to move over to fibre as part of the move to switch off copper wire ADSL, and I can understand it, but has anyone else noticed their ‘copper’ ADSL speed being reduced at contract renewal time?

Super slow download speeds Windows 10

So I installed windows 10, and I've noticed that the download speeds have been SO SLOW. An average of 300 kilobytes a second!! I know its not my internet connetion, because on my other computers the download speeds is almost 10 mbps. I have a wired internet
connection to my main router.

Any help please??!?!
