Windows 10: Very Strange Microphone issues. Not Typical

General Information before I explain the problem. I use a g533 headset from Logitech, I have replaced it. That has not fixed the issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers devices and programs. None of those fixed the issue.Now for the issue. For the past few months my microphone when in discord if I don't speak or flip it up to mute it, an extreme static-y noise will happen it sounds like if you ran your finger down the length of a comb or a cat purring Very strange noise not normal plug isn't fully in static. Now the weird thing is, I can usually just disable and reenable my microph

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

• Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
  
• Corrupted or outdated driver
  
• Faulty device
  

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
  
• Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
  
• Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?
  

In the meantime, we suggest running the Recording Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with recording sound. We also suggest checking if your microphone is set as your default recording device. For troubleshooting steps, please see

Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting
  and hit
  Enter.

  Choose
  Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Click on
  Hardware and Devices
  to run the
  Troubleshooter.

Microphone not working, strange feedback?

I would suggest you to use the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Manually turn up the mic gain

• 
  Type in “Sound” in the Search box and select
  Sound (Control Panel) from the list.
  
• 
  Select the Recording tab.
  
• 
  Right-click (or tap and hold) on the active microphone input device and select
  Properties.
  
• 
  Select the Levels tab.
  
• 
  Manually drag the Microphone gain to a higher level and click
  Apply.
