Windows 10: very strange webpage claimed Windows Antivirus expired May 7 2019 (today)

the url started with https://windowsappcenter.appscenterd.info/dsqrg103


The popup dialogue box said "Windows Security Center. Your Windows Antivirus subscription has expired today. Renew now to protect your computer from the latest ransomware attacks."


I have AVG antivirus. I have not paid for any other subscriptions.


I clicked on the x in the browser window and the site and dialogue box both closed.


Anyone know where to report this? I saved a screen shot.


Anyone have any suggestions of how to avoid these things? At times I've had attempts at screen hijacking from ads, i've had to close down the browser and restart.

InPrivate window and try to go to a webpage with a video again. Follow the steps below:

• Click on the three dots icon on the upper right part of the screen.
• Click New InPrivate window.
