  1. VGA Monitor resolution 1920x1200 not applied correctly 1600x1200 on monitor

My VGA monitor is no longer showing the selected resolution of 1920x1200. Instead, the monitor itself is set to 1600x1200, making the image blurry and incomplete. I tried changing the resolution and refresh but this did not change anything. The Intel graphics software used to be able to correct this by changing the aspect ratio but this option is no longer available after an update so this can't fix it either.I tested the VGA monitor on my laptop and there the VGA monitor works without issues, showing the 1920x1200 resolution as it should. So how can i correct this on my desktop computer? Why d

Windows 10 upgrade messed up 2nd monitor resolution on vga port

Running ASUS A88X-PRO connected to 2 identical ASUS ProArt 246 monitors at 1920x1200 recommended resolution. One monitor connected through DVI port and second monitor on the VGA port. Everything worked fine with Windows 8.

Upgraded to Windows 10 monitor on the VGA port would only display the central 70-80% portion of the image even though both monitors set to the same 1920x1200 resolution.

Installed latest BIOS and chipset updates and drivers for Windows 10. Tried swapping monitors but problem is always with the VGA port monitor. Went through Control Panel, rechecked display settings numerous times without improvment.

    Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Monitor does not detect native 1920 by 1080 resolution through VGA switch on reboot

    Hi,

I have a Windows 8.1 computer. We recently got a 1 input, 4 output VGA switch to hook various things up to a single monitor (the computer, playstation, a work laptop). When we connect the VGA cable directly between the computer and monitor we can run 1920x1080
resolution just fine. Then (with the computer still running) I run a VGA cable from the monitor into the switch and then a VGA cable out of the switch to the monitor and it displays 1920x1080 resolution just fine. If I then reboot the computer (running VGA
through the switch) the display comes up at 1600x1200. This is the maximum resolution I can select from Screen Resolution.
Then (without a reboot) I hook the VGA cable directly from the monitor to the computer the resolution naturally adjusts to 1920x1080 again.
At this point I can run the VGA through the switch again and it displays 1920x1080 just fine.

I have contacted the company who we bought the switch from, but this could also be a windows issue.
I’ll let you know if they find an issue with their device.

I have up to date drivers.

  4. VGA Monitor resolution 1920x1200 not applied correctly 1600x1200 on monitor

    Monitor Cable Question

My max resolution on my dell xps laptop is 1920x1080. So if i use it by itself that is the resolution. Im normally connected to 2 external monitors that are 24' and 1920x1200 resolution and those work.

But with my 20' 1600x1200 monitor which is only monitor im connecting now, how do i get the external monitor which is my main monitor to work with its max resolution of 1600x1200? Im playing around with the display options and dont see any way to do this.
