Windows 10: VHD Disappeared Windows Server 2019

I have experienced an unexpected incident of a missing Virtual Hard Disk VHD that occurred during the timeline of a single faulty hard disk within a RAID 5 configuration. As RAID 5 provides fault tolerance for exactly one hard drive failure, so I am puzzled as to why this incident has resulted in a missing VHD.I have been in touch with DELL Support to verify that the issue is not stemming from the hardware. After conducting a thorough health check and analysing the server logs, DELL has confirmed that there is no issue on the hardware side. They have suggested that the issue likely lies at t

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

VHD disappeared after Windows 11 upgrade

I am perplexed. 3 days ago, I made a VHD on an HDD on my desktop PC. I was running Windows 10 pro v.22H2. Now, this HDD is a 2T drive that has 3 partitions on it (drives E: F: G). I took the F: drive, which had 224 GB free space and allocated 100 GB for the VHD. After initializing and formatting it, it was given a drive letter of J:\. I pasted a copy of Windows 11 ISO onto this drive. My intention was to install Windows 11 onto the VHD so that I could test it out. My next step was to install Windows 11 onto the VHD, so I double clicked on the ISO. Windows Install began. It had been a long time since I had installed a new OS, so I just let it do it's thing. About half way through, I realized that I may have installed the OS onto my C:\ drive instead of the VHD.
After the install was completed, I went to check where it was installed. As I suspected, it was installed on my C:\ drive. It was then that I found that the VHD had disappeared, including the Windows 11 ISO that I had copied into the VHD.
I cannot explain why this happened. I am okay with Windows 11 being my only OS, but still baffled by what had occurred.

 

Windows Server 2019 "D:\recycle.bin" corrupt.

I have Windows 2019 server. When i login it says d:\recycle.bin is corrupt. I have done all the suggested tricks : EX:chekdskD: /R and rd /s /q d:\$Recycle.bin

Neither of those worked. next step, run Windows repair or I'm wiping it out.
