Windows 10: VHS to digital problem with Video Capture Cards

On my older Dell XPS 15 7590, running Windows 11, I have been successfully capturing VHS tapes, converting to digit, using the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD package. Suddenly, I start getting only sound, no picture, when trying to capture the VHS. In the meantime, I bought a new XPS 17 9730, also running Windows 11. Same issue - no picture, only sound, when trying to capture the VHS. I attempted to update the Roxio software/drivers, but the Roxio update site appears to be permanently down, so I ordered a new video capture card from Amazon that had great reviews. However, I still only get sound, no pic

First, you'll need a capture device to convert the VHS tapes from analog to digital. The

I will tell you that capture devices and video editors are complicated; you'll need to spend a good amount of time learning how to use them. If you've got many VHS tapes to convert, and you're somewhat technically inclined, the investment in time (and money)
that you will make is definitely worthwhile, and you'll be very happy with the results. But if you only have a few videos to convert, you'll find it easier and less expensive to let a professional do this for you.

Also keep in mind that video capture and editing and processor-intensive, so you'll need a pretty powerful computer for best results.

VHS Capture

I have a new HP Al-in-one PC with Windows 10. I want to capture old VHS tapes to this Computer so I can burn them on other media. I have installed the Diamond VC500 Capture software every thing would be good If I could get the copy protect to let it capture.
I can only get a couple minutes of video until it will stop capturing and a error will come up
(can not record video the current content is copy protected). I have contacted Diamond they emailed me instructions to change the settings. I need to open the C drive then open CAptureModule".ini" . The problem when I open
the C drive there is no file labled CaptureModule.ini" If I could fine that file I might be able to fix it. anyone got any Idea how I could change the settings on this? help please
