Windows 10: Video control bar disappears or doesn't appear when opening video file from Photos app.

I have a folder with photos and videos in my Windows 11 Pro laptop. When I open a picture with Photos app and navigate left or right and the next file happens to be a video, the control bar with video controls sound, length, etc. either disappears after a split second or doesn't appear at all. However, if the video is the very first file I open with Photos app, the control bar works fine but only for the first opened file. If I go to another file by pressing an arrow and go back, control bar bug occurs.

Photos app - trim a video - error

Hello, I am trying to use the built-in Windows 10 Photos app to trim a video. I have the video playing in the Photos app and click "Trim Video" at the top. I move the sliders to select the start and end points. I click "Save a copy" at top-right. The app says "It looks as though you don't have permissions to save changes to this file. Try saving a copy instead." Having just clicked "Save a copy", I am confused as to why this error message is appearing. I've tried copying the .mp4 to my VIDEOS folder on C: drive with the same result. Some research has suggested to run the Photos app as Administrator, but I can't figure out how to do that. Any suggestions on how to trim a video would be appreciated! Thanks,

 

i downloaded an app for creating videos, later, i uninstalled it by accident and now it doesn´t work

i made a video which cannot be opened in other app so i had to download the app again but now it doesn´t open, i have the document of the video. What should i do to open the app and the video?

Videos and photos can be opened anytime as long as the program supports it. You will only cannot open it if they become corrupted.
