Windows 10: Video Drivers

Want to install Windows 10 Preview on a Dell Inspiron m5030. When the installer reboots the install, after a shot time screen goes Black.As if there are no Video drivers. I use to run Windows 7 on it no problem. I have been using Linux
on it. Does any body know if 9926 has drivers for m5030 ?

I would suggest you to uninstall and install video drivers and sound drivers in compatibility mode.

Follow the below steps to install drivers in compatibility mode.

1. Right click on driver installation file and select Troubleshoot in compatibility mode and check in the Run this program in compatibility mode.

2. Tap or click the drop down box and select operating system, then tap or click OK.
3. Try installing the driver and check.
4. Follow the on screen instructions.

Can some one help me with this cause it was fine on Netflix and browser one second, then started giving me those screens say get latest update for video and sound drivers after the computer was just updated.

 

Same here -- with an old XP-era PC. But Win8 dropped XPDM video driver support and that is the same with Win10. So, if you're using an xp-era driver in Win7, you will not be able to use it in Win10

I was not planning to run windows 10 on it anyway.Just want to try windows 10 on it.I have been running Linux Mint Cinnamon on it.Linux Mint with a ssd it runs great and is fast.
