Windows 10: Video Editor for slideshow

I was pleased to see that Video Editor seemed to offer a slideshow facility. I opened it up and found a field which let me start a new project which I named. I could also see how I could add my own music which is what I wanted to do. However I could not find a prompt or field to let me add photos. I found a video to show how to create a slide show in Video Editor but the screen they showed in the video when starting a new project didn't look like the screen I saw. The screen on the video showed a prompt saying

"Add Media To Get Started Now

Drag Photos etc., etc."

It also showed a blue backgrounded prompt in the upper left corner labelled "+ADD"

Neither of these appear on my comparable screen. I noticed that my Video Editor seemed to be opening in One Drive. If that's the issue I have no idea how to resolve it. And, of course, since it's in a suite of programs, there doesn't seem to be any easy way to remove and reinstall.
