Windows 10: Video editor got updated and edited videos turning grey?

about a week ago my video editor updated to a new UI without my knowledge. i much prefer the old one because i got snap on the timeline where i wanted to trim it, and it would save in its video folder automatically without me having to find it. also, after this update all of the videos ive edited with it have had a grey, washed out colour over it? i am currently on version 22H2 and os build 19045.3448i have tried repairing and restting both the video app and the photo app but it has not worked

That seems to be a 1 year license and not a lifetime license.
