Windows 10: Video error 0xc1010103 - There is sound but no Video

Okay ever since I upgraded from Windows 7 (64-bit) to Windows 10, I have been unable to play videos. I would always get the error code 0xc1010103. Then the video will play, but with no picture, just audio.

I tried using VLC and that worked for a month or so, then it starting getting green lines over the screen as if the video is corrupted.


Yes, I have uninstalled, reinstalled, disabled, re-enabled, updated my video driver countless times. I went through all the troubleshooting methods. Nothing helps.

The laptop has a dedicated Radeon 7400M Graphics card in it.

My system has been slowing down since windows last update. I have a Lenovo desktop

• Did you encounter any error messages when this issue happened?
  • No error message
• Have you made any recent changes on your machine prior to this issue?

• Is the issue only happening when you're watching online videos? If so, what browser are you using?
  
  • All videos, have tried IE and I use Chrome...same issues
  • Videos from Itunes play with barely no volume
  • Sounds like background 'music' is drowning out voices.
