Windows 10: Video pauses or goes blank when switching to another desktop

I'm using the windows task view to create desktops. I created a 2nd desktop to record lectures and other videos, whilst doing other things on my main desktop. Whenever I switch back to the main desktop the video pauses or goes blank but the audio is still there.

How can I force the video to keep playing?

Laptop switches to Desktop arbitrarily.

I tried your suggestion Abdul, opening Win10 in safe mode with networking. The problem is still there.

I started a video from File Explorer and paused it for a minute and when I returned, the desktop was being displayed. I did my usual, click on the VLC Icon in the Task Bar, could see the paused video underneath the desktop in the area where the task bar
had been. I clicked there and the video returned on top. The video ran 42 min and the desktop didn't popup. When the video ended, VLC Media Player was displayed. When I closed it, the desktop appeared rather than File Explorer, the last program I was running
when the video started. Traditionally Windows reverted to the last running program and only goes to the desktop if there no other open applications.

Screen goes blank after changing BIOS settings/

I don't know how long this has been happening, a few weeks at least, but whenever I change a setting in my BIOS (and save & exit), my screen goes blank and my monitor goes into standby. Any suggestions to fix this?

hey, i have a samsung 22"ws and an 850xt. 1 gig of ram and an old xp3200. Every time I watch a movie in powerdvd or media player i can get some of the way through it and then the monitor goes blank and it acts like the cable is not even hooked up. After that I have to reset. Atitool temps are fine throughout on vid card and mobo temps are good as well. I was just wondering if anyone may have a suggestion at to what it may be. Thanks.
