Windows 10: VIDEO SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR on wake from sleep

I know this is a fairly old thread but I have EXACTLY the same issue as the OP, with same GPU (although I do not have a built-in GPU). You have analysed its behaviour and described it to perfection!

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I have just re-installed windows 10 from clean start (rather than free-upgrade) and my problem remains. It is extremely frustrating and I would have thought that Microsoft or Nvidia (or both) would have solved this by now!

What PSU (model/make) do you have?

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Nvidia. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

Thanks! I will try this. My PSU in this box is a Corsair RM550.

 

Well after a period of over a year when the problem went away and I was able to manually initiate sleep without getting the BSOD VideoSchedulerError the problem has returned although only intermittently. I'm not sure if the original problem was fixed by a Windows Update or an NVidia update.

Anyway I have now followed the instruction to remove old Nvidia drivers using DDU and have reinstalled just the latest NVidia Graphics Driver and the PhysX driver and will monitor it over the next few weeks and report back
