  1. Video stored on OneDrive won't play from shared link.

Videos stored on OneDrive will not play from a Shared link. I'm seeing this same issue on both my desktop and laptop PC. I'm running Windows 11 on both and using the Edge browser on both. These steps demonstrate the problem:Using Edge, view my OneDrive online folder.Click on the desired video. It will load and play within Edge using the Play triangle. Then using the Share option create a Share link of the file.Copy the link then Paste the link into my Windows 11 Edge browser. The Video loads into the browser but does not display a 'play' triangle. So, I have no way to play the video.

    :)

OneDrive - shared link - one is required to create an account first?

I don't share files often, or better, I hardly share files.

    Now I shared a video.
Uploaded the video to OneDrive, right-click share, created a link, and sent it by mail to the person I wanted to share the file with (having a Gmail account)

That person tried to open the link and reported back that he should first create an account.

    Huh..?

Did I overlook a step somewhere?

Video stored on OneDrive won't play from shared link.

    OneDrive shared Links!

    Hello Brian,

The behavior of the OneDrive shared link depends on the settings of the file and the recipient's device. If the recipient's device has a slow internet connection or does not support the file format, it may take some time to load or may not play at all.

Unfortunately, there is no setting on your end that can make the file play automatically when the recipient clicks on the link. However, you can suggest to your friends to download the file and play it locally on their device to avoid any issues with slow internet connection or unsupported file formats.
