Windows 10: "Video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error" while playing games on my Dell G3 laptop ?

So every time I play a game after like half an hour or so, my game crashes blue screen giving the error VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR , then when I relaunch the laptop my discrete GPU is gone, like missing from task manager and hidden in device manager. To fix it I have to restart my laptop then the Nvidia drivers come back and when I play my games again the same problem happens after a few minutes of playing the game. It's never happened unless I'm playing a game. I have tried:reinstalling the graphics driver from NVIDIA.removing the graphics driver using DDU in safe mode and reinstalling the l

Dell G3 3579 small "hiccups"/"glitch"/"freeze" while playing games or videos.

Hi, I am new at this, but I am looking for help, so let me know if I am doing something wrong in the post . I bought a Dell G3 3579 for playing some games and stuff. I don't complaim about this laptop's performance, It is enough for what I want. The problem
is something that is very anoying. Sometimes It "stutters" (I'm not sure if this is the best word to describe it, I am not native english speaker) for a millisecond and the image freeze or glitches (just for an instant, very fast), also the sound is like when
you playing a broken CD and a chirp come out.

I tried updating all drivers and programs to detect problems in windows, but nothing works, the problem remains. It happens once in a while, but is stressful when watching movies or in shooters games. I want to know if some one has experimented this problem
that can help me out. Begging it is not a hardware problem I hope I could explained my self.

Here I let my laptop specs and a link with 2 videos when the problem occurs (it is worst than it looks like in the video). The "chirp" in the sound is not recorded as it really sounds, it is just like a freeze or I don't know:

• Dell G3 3579.
• Intel Core i5-8300h.
• Nvidia Gtx 1050 ti 4 GB.
• 16 ram ddr4 2666 MHz.
• Windows 10 Home.

Dell G3 3590 VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR

In the middle of playing Fallout 4 I experienced a sudden crash and then I couldn't run the game

Due to it being Fallout 4 I decided to restart my Laptop, upon doing this I got a BSOD with the error code "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR"

When my laptop reloaded it was as if my Dedicated Graphics Card was completely disconnected from my system. I checked device manager and found it was deemed as disconnected.

I decided to uninstall all NVIDIA Software and Drivers and re-install from scratch. Initially this didn't work and the NVIDIA Driver said one of 2 things...

1. This driver is not compatible with this version of windows

2. NVIDIA Installer cannot detect an NVIDIA GPU

After another restart it appeared as though the GPU had reconnected and then I wiped and reinstalled the software and drivers with no issues.

I thought this was a one off issue.

The problem occurred again today and in exactly the same circumstances.

I was wondering if I could have some help with this issue?

CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9300H CPU @2.40GHz

RAM - 8GB

Integrated GPU - Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630

Dedicated GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

1 game on D: Drive but very slow

Ok.

First off you've nowhere near 120 (119) gig of memory. What you are stating is drive size. Looking at the specs of that notebook Dell G3 15 Gaming Laptop shows the most memory that notebook came with is 16gig. With that (given what you did post spec wise) I'm going to assume this is the one you have - Dell G3 15 Gaming Laptop

All that out the way, two suggestions first...

1. Go to Dell's website and find the latest drivers for your notebook - start here for driver support (sorry I don't know your exact model number)
2. Make sure you have the latest patches for your game - Go here for Forza Horizon 4 support (sorry didn't see patches)
