Windows 10: Videos freeze with audio still playing Windows 11

Hi. Ive been having trouble with all videos played on my computer. I use google chrome and any video played wether that be on netflix, youtube, bbc iplayer, twitch litteraly any video will freeze but the audio continues and i have to refresh the page to fix it just for it to do it again and ive even noticed videos not on chrome seem to have a problem playing also with stuttering happening.Ive tried any fix i could find and that includes;-Turning off hardware accelartion on chrome-Clearing all history on chrome cookies exc-Resetting chrome-Factory resetting my computer-Getting a fresh install o

Videos and audios Won't Play

• Which browser are you using?

Step 1: Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

1. Press Windows key on your keyboard

2. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting..

3. Click on view all (on the left panel)

4. Select Playing Audio troubleshooter

5. Follow the prompted steps to troubleshoot this issue.

6. Follow the same steps to troubleshoot
Video playback.

Step 2: Also try to update drivers and check.

No sound while playing audio and video files.

Hi,

I appreciate if you could answer to a few questions to narrow down to the issue.

• Which is the application that you are using to play the files?
• Did you try the same on a different player?
• Did you perform any troubleshooting steps?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to check if the volume is set low or in mute state in Volume Mixer.

• Right click on sound icon.
• Open Volume Mixer check for the application that you are playing the files with and increase the volume and check.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to run “Playing audio” troubleshooter to diagnose and fix the issue.

Follow these Steps to run Playing Audio Troubleshooter in Windows 10.

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click on Playing audio.

Audio Enhancement Disabed but wont play audio or video

All the steps have been tried. I have been dealing with this issue since last week so many of the steps you suggested or sent had been tried already and a few more than once. The PC has been through a soft reset, a factory reset, and I also did your suggestion of the repair reset.

I am still getting the same issue. When the audio enhancement is not on the audio does not play, the test tone audio fails, no local video files can play either. No YouTube videos or any online video plays. Youtube screen will say an audio rendering issue. Local audio files will give error and say it is unsupported coding...0X8000FFFF, when the enhancement is on there is no issue at all

Drivers, Bios, chips etc are up to date. I have had this laptop for less than 2 months, so I did not really have any 3rd party software installed.

Troubleshooter even suggest disabling the enhancement but again...this is the problem.
