Windows 10: Videos from phone to laptop are erroring with wrong format

I downloaded photos and videos from my phone to my laptop after selecting the transfer hvec videos to avc format, and they aren't working and I accidentally deleted them off my phone, what can/should I do?

Help Me Understand What I'm Doing Wrong

I may be missing something, but I think what's being suggested is you use the arrow to choose another different method other then 'phone number' such as email or an authentication app, whatever's on the drop down list that's not a phone number.
