Windows 10: Videos Lagging, HEVC Video Extensions installed

I have videos saved mp4 that I am having playback issues with. First I was not getting any video at all just audio and a black screen with a format error code 0xc00d5212. I am running windows 10. After doing some research, I was able to download the HEVC Video Extension and the AV1 video extension. Now my videos play but they are choppy and lag pretty bad. I uninstalled the HEVC app and re-installed with no luck. Is anyone having this issue? I have the videos on a flash drive and can watch them on any other device just fine with no playback issues.

HEVC Video Extensions

I bought HEVC Video Extensions from microsoft store but was never told what file it was downloaded to or how to access it. Where is it?

 

"HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer" installed on computer but missing from Microsoft Store list

I checked Microsoft Store again. HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer still doesn't appear on the update list. I ran updates anyway, and it was updated, along with Microsoft Solitaire Collection and a few other apps.

The new version number for HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer is 1.0.31823.0, which contains the patch. Issue resolved.
