Windows 10: Videos not playing properly

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 310. Whenever I play a video on an installed application, like VLC Media Player, or even Windows Movies & TV, the video either stops playing, or restarts, or jumps forward automatically this in case of Movies & TV app.Whenever I stream anything on Edge - YouTube, Disney+ - the volume bar appears out of nowhere and just stays there. On Windows Netflix app, the player controls pop up automatically and stay there.And when all of the above happens, I cannot move the pointer with my laptop's trackpad, however, it works when I have a mouse connected to the laptop.I

1. May I know, which video player you are using to play the video?
   
2. Are you able to play the video on any other computer?
   
3. Are you facing the issue with only specific video or with all the other videos?
   

This issue could also occur when the USB or SD card is corrupted when you have transferred the video.

Try the troubleshooting methods provided below to further narrow down the root cause of the issue.

Method 1: Try a different video player.

1. Try to use a different USB to transfer the video, if you are playing it on other computer or device.
   
2. I suggest you to try a different video player and check if it plays.
   
3. You can also check on different device or computer.
   

Step: Run Windows Media player troubleshooter.

1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together.
2. Copy and paste the below command and run each at a time and follow the onscreen instruction on the troubleshooter
3. msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic
4. msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerLibraryDiagnostic
5. msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerDVDDiagnostic
6. Reboot the computer and check.

Videos are not Syncing properly to my Lumia

Hi Microsoft Support Team,



I have followed your basci trouble shooting steps, but it didn't give any improvement.



Following are the details which you requested.

• OS version of my phone is 7.10.8862.144
• I have downloaded this videos from internet. (Say, Torrentz)
• Whenever I play, i can hear only sound and the video strucks in the beginning itself with some coloured strip at the bottom.
  
• Yes. Videos have worked properly earlier.
• All the videos which i synced through Zune.

Please provide the rectification steps at the earliest.

I suggest you to check the same issue on Internet Explorer. If the issue still persists then follow the link given below.

Flash Player may not be enabled on your computer. This might be a reason of the audio and video not playing properly. Adobe flash player comes embedded in Microsoft Edge. You don’t need to install it separately. You can try enabling
and Testing it again following the steps provided in the below link.

The player gets updated with Windows Updates. I suggest you to login to a Microsoft user account, and try installing all pending updates on the system and restart to check if the issue persists.
