Windows 10: Videos NOT showing on file explorer from SD card

    Videos NOT showing on file explorer from SD card


    So videos from my SD card will not show up on file explorer. This does not work for either of my SD cards, so it's not an issue on that end. I have "hidden items" checked as you can see in the screenshot below. Can anyone suggest any other options that may need to be toggled? This is a recent problem, just two weeks ago I was seeing videos. Not sure what changed...Thank you for any suggestions.

    SD card/SD card reader no longer working

    Bradleyb, in your Device Manager do you have anything listed in Storage Controllers? I get an entry for MMC/SD. I just checked a 1GB SD card and a 4GB SDHC card, both worked in File Explorer to show their contents.

    Side note: A caveat for such cards is that if they are to be used in a camera they need to be formatted in the camera, not in Windows.

    SD card won't display video files

    Windows 10 recognizes my camera's SD card, shows my jpeg and raw files, but video files don't appear. In the camera the video files show and play, but with the SD card in my desktop it shows no trace of those video files.

    Photos from SD card not importing properly into File Explorer

    When I try to import photos from an SD card, the photos on the card are not showing up in File Explorer. I am seeing old pictures that have already been imported into the photos app. I would prefer to use File Explorer and not the Photos app, any suggestions?
