View Actual Size option on Photos gone?

So I took my PC to a repair shop to fix up a screen resolution problem that's been bothering me. Long story short, I didn't have the appropriate drivers for Windows 10 to display the monitor's native screen resolution.

Although that problem was fixed, when I went through my photos, it seems that the option "View Actual Size" when you right-click disappeared. I tried to check the options on the 3 dots on the upper righthand corner, and the ctrl+1 shortcut, but all to no avail.

viewing a photo at actual size in windows 10

    Hi Ian,

The button to be able to view the actual size is no longer available in the Photo App in Windows 10. However, you can always resize the photo to your desired size by following the steps provided in

    Photo's JPG size reduction

    Many thanks DaveM121

WOW! I just learned something new and important for editing my photos.

You provided me with excellent quick steps to re-size the photo.

To play it safe, I made a copy of the original photo and performed your editing steps on the copied photo. I assume that by keeping the original photo . . . the higher MBs photo, I will be able to have large prints made in high resolution.

To e-mail photos for viewing only, the re-sized photo is the best way.

Regarding your first possible suggestion of an E-mail app that provides an option to automatically reduce the JPG size, my e-mail app/program is Microsoft Outlook 2016. If it's okay with you, I'd appreciate your step-by-step procedure to re-size photos.

    Thanks again,

    Barry G
