I have a desktop upgraded from Win7 that works like a champ, and about to do a second desktop. I also have an Ultrabook type lappy that is my most-used machine because I can multitask with it. However, I continue to respond negatively to MS' question "Would you recommend this to your friends and associates?" The reason: I continually have the problem of working drivers being overwritten by newer, faulty drivers. I can handle this, and my friends might be among the lucky ones who don't have to, but I'm not going to recommend Win10 until MS does something about the driver problem.

Of my 4 PCs I've reverted 1 to Win7 for game compatibility. Otherwise I've had not serious issues with Win10.

Keeping 3 systems on Win 10. Leaving one system with 32 bit Win 7 to support old but useful software.

Coming straight from 8.1 and starting as insider from very first W10 edition, I was not surprised by anything and took to W10 like fish to the water. I have no doubt it's a keeper. Now just waiting for MS to get everything together and grab a windows tablet and a phone.

Put windows 10 on all four of my computers, no problems with anything, running opera 33 browser, outlook.com email, enjoying the new start menu, action center and overall increased speed.

Thrilled with the increased performance on my old Dell 2GB laptop. No way I'm going back to 7.

I just have to ask(I agree my laptop was 7) do you find the drivers on 10 also much more stable than 7's, like I do?

I didn't have instability issues with 7 drivers and don't see any in 10 either, other than the initial issues with the NVidia GeForce graphics driver for the first few days like a lot of other people. That was resolved with the 355.60 package. That was not really a Windows issue anyway, but was NVidia's.

  14. Win 10 pro 64 bit here.
It probably is best to have a fairly new computer with a quad core processor above 3Ghz, some high speed ram in higher Gb numbers 8 -16 maybe and a quality graphics suite for the Win 10 to function at full design capability. IMO it is the most robust with fewest problems MS OS yet. I have been through XP (2001 Launch) and every OS since as soon as the system is released to market. All of those systems have had stability issues of huge proportions and took several months and multiple clean installs to eventually stabilize the system. On win10 I run a massive game program over 45Gb with no video rendering issues or overheating whatsoever. I can run multiple instances of Adobe image processing programs and game at the same time with no degradation in performance. The load on the system is extremely light. The initial upgrade was a bust, more my fault than MSs I would bet, but, a clean install fixed everything. This was the case too with all other MS OSs back to XP. So, was actually expecting that and I would recommend during a clean install to everyone after the initial upgrade to win 10. Currently, I am about 3 weeks into the clean install with no known problems with the system. SFC /SCANNOW run everyday and has found no defects every time. Hope your experience with Win 10 becomes a good one too.

  15. I happily upgraded both of my Windows 8 systems to Windows 10 and have 2 other copies of Windows 7 Pro retail installed on separate disks which I will keep to EOL.
