    I'm not condemning the feature, but I haven't embraced it yet either.

    Tried to open four different Spartan windows on four different virtual desktops; didn't work well at all! Spartan crashes every time when moving additional tabs to a new window(s) and/or adding virtual desktops or a combination of both! *Confused

    (I know, I know, it's still beta!) *Wink

    Many years ago my friend was extolling the virtues of virtual desktops, but I couldn't see how they'd be useful to me.
    Now I use them constantly.

    It is most useful when you need to open some windows full screen and yet need to have multiple other documents open.

    For example, when I was studying Networking I needed to have:
    • At least two VMs open (full screen)
    • Multiple instruction PDFs and/or Word docs open
    • An Internet browser open
    • A Word doc open to record results
    Normally I run Winamp on a separate desktop too.

    MS hasn't implemented the feature as well as they could have.
    I do like the way that you don't have to predefine how many windows you want, before you start using them though. *Smile

    IMO, it needs to have an always visible "summary view" like Linux Distros have (or VirtuaWin + KvasdoPager).
