Windows 10: Virtual keyboard in Google search bar not working after logging in to Google account

The issue I am facing is that the virtual keyboard within the Google search bar stops working when I log in to my Google account. I have tried clearing my browser's cache and cookies, but the issue persists. The keyboard works fine on the YouTube search bar, but not on the Google search bar. I am using Google Chrome, but the same issue occurs on Microsoft Edge.

Hello, i have a problem with the virtual keyboard located in the google search bar . Whenever i log in on my google account, the virtual keyboard stops working , apart from the Ctrol+Alt buttons. However the same keyboard is alalso in the youtube searchbar but it seems to be working fine , does anybody have a solution to the problem i use chrome but edge seems to have the same problem.

On-screen keyboard disappears after first keystroke in Google search

In my brand new HP 2-in1 laptop, when using it as a tablet, the virtual keyboard disappears in Google Chrome when typing the first letter in the Google search text slot in the middle of the page. The focus moves into the address bar at the top, and I have
to tap it to get the virtual keyboard back. If the search bar contains a search suggestion from earlier searches, I need to remove the text string first - very inconvenient!

This is clearly a bug, and it seems to have been a problem for many in the past.
