Windows 10: Virtual Machines(in Virtual Box) and MEMU not working while Hyper-V was enabled

Hi, I have installed Visual Studio this week to try out Xamarin.Android. While launching the android emulator I was asked by Visual Studio to enabled the Hyper-V. What I did and I was able to launch the default Xamarin.Android project without any problem.

But then I notice that none of my virtual Machines in Virtual Box would start. Worse when I try to start the application MEMU(android emulator www.memuplay.com/
) it shows an error message. I did not even have time to read it all before the screen become blue and the computer restarts. Of course I deactivate the Hyper-V and after two restarts I can now run my Vms and MEMU as before.



So my question is how I make the Hyper-V works along with the other apps ?I do not develop with Xamarin.Android now but maybe I may want to use it

in the future so I want to be able to use my Vms and develop without having to activate/deactivate the Hyper-V and restarts the computer.

Cannot turn off Hyper V, cannot run Virtual Box machines or VMWare machines

Since the latest update:

Edition: Windows 10 Pro

Verion: 1607

OS Build: 14393.222

I can no longer turn off Hyper V and thus cannot run Virtual Box machines or VMware machines.

When I attempt to turn off Hyper V and restart Windows as requested, Windows simply re-enables Hyper V.

Then when I try to run a Virtual Box machine, I get an error like this:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Centos 70.

VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

When I try to start a VMware machine, I get this:

VMware Player and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Player.

But as I have noted, I am not able to turn off Hyper-V since the Anniversary Update.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Hyper-V, VM, Virtual Machine

You will have to ensure the Virtual Machine is running and connected to the Internet.

This means the physical host, the machine itself must be connected.
