Virtual PC 2007 will not install I have tried running it in compatibility mode.

Virtual PC/Server cannot be run within Virtual PC/Server -- it will not allow it; I have already tried. lol However, it is possible to install the management web site for Virtual Server within a virtual machine if you want to and it will even let you install (but not run) the actual Virtual Server service.

In the comments in the above posts, I was only referring to running Virtual PC 2004 when 2007 is installed on the system. A copy of the "Microsoft Virtual PC" folder from an installation of VPC2004 is needed to be able to do this.

Regarding Virtual PC 2007, this is a Microsoft virtualization technology. You can use it to run more than one operating system at the same time on one computer, and to run different applications on a virtual Windows environment. Based on the system requirements
this software is not compatible for use in Windows 10.

 

Remove Virtual PC 2007

I'm unable to install the software for Epson Perfection V300Photo scanner. The scanner was working perfectly until the latest Windows 10 update.

The software that I'm trying to install has not changed and is the latest version.

I get the following message:

"Compatibility Assistant

This app can't run on this PC

Virtual PC 2007 doesn't work on this version of Windows. An update app may be available."

Instructions to remove Virtual PC 2007 call for deleting update KB958559. This update doesn't exist on this PC and there are no .vmc files and no virtual machine folders.
