    VirtualBox BSOD


    I have a HP Laptop running Windows 10 Home, which came pre-installed on the laptop. I have to use virtualbox to run other OSes and their respective software, and I recently have noticed whenever I shut down a guest OS, I get a BSOD with "Secure Kernel Error" as the stopcode. I have already attempted to contact Oracle and have not found a solution yet. If anyone else has this error or knows what the stopcode means, that info would be useful. For technical info, it is a HP Laptop dk1046nr with an AMD Athlon Silver 3050U, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB HDD. If anyone could help out, that would be great!

    Latest VirtualBox install causes a BSOD on Windows 10 Pro

    Hi,

    I'm getting a BSOD when waking up a Windows 10 Pro machine from sleep mode with the latest version of VirtualBox (6.1.14-140239) installed.

    The BSOD stop code is 'IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL'.

    I am running Windows 10 Pro 2004, OS build 19041.450

    The BSOD does not occur with VirtualBox uninstalled.

    Any suggestions or solutions?

    Been there and done that. Followed through enabling the 3D acceleration and as told i hit the "Install Guest Addition" to install the drivers in the guest operating system, after that i was told to reboot the VirtualBox and came to the blue windows XP shutdown screen... It was on that screen for more then 30mins and so i force a shutdown on the original Win7 OS to et rid of the VirtualBox OS shutdown screen. Rebooted and tested VirtualBox with the game and got the same error message as shown in my first post.

    EDIT: Gone through all the steps till i came to rebooting the VirtualBox OS. After the system coming up normally, i checked if the 3D acceleration is enabled by running dxdiag. Here is what i get...

    Need advise to fix 3D acceleration so i can go on. Thank you so much!

    BSODs starting Virtualbox VMs


    Just an update. Puppy Linux works fine in Virtualbox on 10586.218 x86 on the Compaq laptop.

    Next step is to check with the TP build 14332, which I'm not looking forward to... *Shock
