Hi Microsoft,I am unable to use VMware® Workstation 17 Pro, 17.6.2 build-24409262, with Windows 11 Pro 24H2 26100.3194 Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.48.0 On a Windows Surface 8 Pro with Device Guard and Credential Guard enabled....When i try to launch any VM with Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT enabled i receive the following:I have disabled hyper V, Windows Hyper Visor and Virtual Machine Platform as below:I have ran the following commands: - Deactivate the hypervisor launch type . Command: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype offDisable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online

Hi everyone,

I am having issue with windows 11 home , everytime I run Vmwaer show message (VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform).

I tried to disable from cmd but still not solve the issue

can you please help.

This error message indicates that the virtualization is disabled in the Bios settings. You need to enter the Bios settings, search for the option VT-x/EPT, and enable it.

If you don't know how to do it or you cannot find this option in the Bios settings, provide the model of your computer/laptop or motherboard and a screenshot of the system information and I'll be glad to guide you on how to activate the virtualization.

-System information:

1-Right-click on Start then click on Run

2-Type: msinfo32 and click on OK

Intel VT-x Enable?


I am unable to find anything with Intel Virtual Technology anywhere in the BIOS. I guess the only step is to update my BIOS, but I heard that is very risky. Is there any other way to enable Intel VT-x?

I have access to my graphics settings but I don't know if that will help.
