Windows 10: Virus alerts

I was getting numerous popups and installed mcafee. Now I am getting even more mcafee popups. I have attached some screen shots. The popups are in the bottom right of the page.I can barely use my computer anymore because of these stupid popups... 30 or 40 will pop up in a row and I have to close each one. When I run the mcafee virus scan app, it says my pc is clean and protected. How do I get rod pf these horrible popups? I cannot do anything on my system until I close each one of them down, and it seems like there are more everyday. What is going on?

virus alert

defender finds a virus, quarantined the virus. I remove all the quarantined viruses. the threat alert pm the bottom right of the screen slices over with the same virus alert. I remove the quarantined virus.. the alert alerts again. this keeps repeating.
the virus is "Bruser modifier Win 32/Polteci

Fake Virus Alert Popups with Edge browser

Check that the tab it starts with is unpinned. When that site opens click the lock icon in address bar and block notifications. Just some suggestions.

 

Emergency Alerts

Hi Stephanie,

Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

• Open Settings.
• Tap on System.
• Tap on Messaging.
• Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
• Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.
