    I had a scammer trying to get me to download Ultraviewer. Now I see that I have an alert on virus and threat protection. Auto sample submission, real time protection and cloud delivered protection are all off. When I click to turn on, a box appears: Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? It states the verified publisher is Microsoft Windows. Do I allow it to makes changes, or is this another part of the scam?I think that maybe I should do a virus scan, but I don't see how to do that.

    virus alert

    defender finds a virus, quarantined the virus. I remove all the quarantined viruses. the threat alert pm the bottom right of the screen slices over with the same virus alert. I remove the quarantined virus.. the alert alerts again. this keeps repeating.
    the virus is "Bruser modifier Win 32/Polteci

    Daily Alert about Virus & Threat Protection.

    From almost 2 weeks I'm getting an alert in windows defender related to 'Quick Scan Due' under Virus & Threat Protection.

    As I get these alert I regularly scan my computer so that there couldn't be any mistake by me to protect the computer from

    viruses or attacks.

    But After Doing a Quick Scan the alert also disappears, but next day the same alert come up.

    Persistent Threat Message in Virus & Threat Protection in Windows 10

    Hi,

    I have recently uninstalled CCleaner from my PC.

    Under Current Threats in Virus & Threat Protection, I keep getting the message that there's a threat from Appvirus and threat alert :piriform_CCleaner.

    I've tried the option to Remove this but even after a re-boot the message remains.

    Can someone please suggest how to resolve this?
